Edward Eugene Swinehart, 72, of Rogers passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born January 6, 1948 in Miami, Oklahoma to the late Vivian Edward Swinehart and Flora Mae Bumpus Swinehart. He was also preceded by a sister, Esther Johnson. Following graduation from Picher Oklahoma High and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma nearly 50 years ago, he moved to Rogers to begin his career in accounting. Upon retirement, he enjoyed gardening and was an avid Razorback Baseball fan. He was a long-time member of Monte Ne Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Swinehart; his daughter, Lori Brett (Stuart) of Great Britain; a sister, Robbi Smith of Bixby, Oklahoma; extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers and his Graveside Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 25 in Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com.
