Shaw Wilson age 82, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Cabot. He was born January 1, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Mack and Virgie Shaw Wilson. On July 3, 1951, he married Mary Cockrell in Wilson, Arkansas. Shaw graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1958 with a B.A. in Business and Accounting. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. Shaw retired from Central Arkansas Substance Abuse Program as Executive Director on June 28, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wilson of the home; two brothers, Virgil (Judy) Wilson of Bend, Oregon, Joe (Elinor) Wilson of Ventura, California; sister, Laura Stiles of Hot Springs; ten nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews; brother in law, Barney (Bettye) Cockrell of Jacksonville; sister in law, Barbara Kizer of Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Sammons and Brother Cliff Hutchins officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the funeral home. The family requests memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice.

Mary M. Wilson, 90, of Jacksonville, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was born Saturday, October 6, 1928 in Drew, Mississippi to the late Barney and Minnie Hall Cockrell. Mary enjoyed oil painting. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shaw Wilson; brother, Barney Cockrell, Jr; and nephew, David Anderson.

Survivors include sister, Barbara Kizer of Newport; nieces and nephews, Beth (Terry) Carter of Las Vegas, Lisa (Ed) Price of Sherwood, Dan (Karen) Cockrell of Jacksonville and Dennis (Marcy) Cockrell of Cabot.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2019 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
