*Obituary

Joseph Rowe was born May 25, 1938 to Lacie and Erma Rowe in Hope Arkansas.

He always had an adventurous spirit. After graduating from High School in Hope Arkansas, he followed the calling he heard at age 10 when he heard God say, “Go Preach”.

He attended International Bible College where he met the love of his life and the woman, he would remain married to for over 60 years- Florence Harris. After several junior pastoral positions, he became Senior and Founding Pastor of Northwood Christian Center (now Northwood Church) in Gulfport, MS which is now one of the largest and most influential churches in that area. He also pastored briefly in his hometown of Hope and Arkadelphia. He and his wife Florence found themselves in demand throughout the United States and the world where he traveled to many locations world-wide to speak and strengthen the body of Christ. He passed away quietly in his sleep about 6:30am on August 19th, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents as well as one brother Phillip Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Rowe; two children; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Laverne Little, Roy Rowe, Carroll Rowe and James Rowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 24, 2019 at White Oak Grove Cemetery in DeAnn. Lee Little Jr. will officiate under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope.
