Janet Marilyn (Tozer) Cutshall, age 88, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2016, in Springfield, MO. She was born on October 5, 1927, in Windsor, CO, to George Edward and Nina Meryl (Holloway) Tozer. She married Vincent Keet Cutshall, M.D. on June 20, 1948, and lived most of her married life in Sioux Falls, SD. Preceded in death are her parents and husband. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, a sister, Marcia Osborn of Greeley, CO, and a brother, Jim Tozer of Carmel, CA.

She graduated from Windsor High School as valedictorian in 1945. She went to the University of Colorado in Boulder where she met Vince. She was a junior high teacher for two years before her first child was born. She had four children: Debra (Craig) Peterson of Springfield, MO, Diana (Barry) Banks of Austin, TX, David (Nancy) Cutshall of Sioux Falls, SD, and Donna (Steve) O'Rourke of Rapid City, SD. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Jan had a love for Jesus, a servant's heart and a radiant smile to all throughout her life. She made a truly lasting difference to others and her family. We are all grateful for having such a devoted mom and grandmother.

She loved all types of animals and had various pets over her lifetime. She enjoyed not only doing but teaching Bible studies, playing cribbage, walking, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, oil painting and bird watching. She loved to sing and was involved in church choirs wherever she lived. Jan and Vince even did a European choir trip with the Bella Vista Christian Church. She had a life of volunteerism including Meals on Wheels, visiting those in nursing homes, and participating in PEO and women's church groups. When she and her young children were in Japan with Vince's military tour, she taught soldiers to read. She also cooked authentic Chinese dinners that everyone enjoyed as a special treat. She had a talent for administration and any organization she became involved with, she usually became its president. She had a giving heart and was active in fund raising for various charities. Truly, she made a difference in this life and is enjoying the next one with Christ.

Please direct memorials for Jan to the charity of your choice in her name. Cards can be sent to: Cutshall Family, 1309 W. Wicklow Ct., Sioux Falls, SD 57108. A family memorial service will be held August 20th in Springfield, MO, and she will be laid to rest next to Vince in the Bella Vista Memorial Gardens in Bella Vista, AR.
