Luther William Hartzell, 78, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Monday, June 9, 2008. He was a twenty-two year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and after retiring as Chief Master Sergeant from the Air Force, Luther worked at Remington Arms where he was a maintenance supervisor. Luther was a member of the Beebe First United Methodist Church. He was a big fan of horse racing and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Luther is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Hartzell of Beebe and one daughter, Cathy Hartzell of Cabot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Ralph Hartzell and Thelma Young Hartzell and one son, Larry Hartzell.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial & Tribute Processing Center, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653 or the Humane Society of Searcy, 112 Johnston Rd., Searcy, AR 72143.
