Joyce F. Baskin passed peacefully from this life to join her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 30, 2020. She was born in Birta, Arkansas on March 22, 1932. She was 87 years of age. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, but her specialty was that of a wife, mom, and meemaw. She loved to bake and she cooked so many delicious holiday and birthday meals for her family. She loved to place special touches on everything she did to make it extraordinary for her family.

Joyce was loved and treasured by her family, church family, and friends. She had a precious heart for loving and taking care of other people. She and Carroll Dee raised their family in Jacksonville and upon retirement moved to Conway. They later moved to Cabot where she made many friends at Faith Baptist Church and throughout the community. In 2006, she moved to Mountain Home and was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. She enjoyed her years there and attended many of her granddaughters’ basketball games. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are so blessed to have been loved by her. She will always have a special place in our hearts.

The Family would like to thank the staff of Gassville Nursing Home for providing loving care to our Mom during these last few months. Joyce was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want, He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides by along the right paths for his name sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23
