Wendell Niles Ramsey, 92, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born December 13, 1916, at Horatio, Arkansas.

He was the third child of Curtis and Lucille Ramsey.

He passed away June 5, 2009.

Wendell graduated from Harding College, which is now Harding University at Searcy.

He retired in 1977 as a Civilian Research Psychologist for the United States Army in Indiana.

He was a member of Beebe First Baptist Church, Past Master of Beebe Masonic Lodge #145, 32nd Scottish Rite Mason, York Rite Commander, Scimitar Shrine Temple, and Past Patron of Beebe Chapter #248 Order of the Eastern Star.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ellis Ramsey and Edwin Ramsey; a sister, Vivian Freppon; a son, Jerry Ramsey; and a daughter-in- law, Vickie Ramsey.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Wanda Ramsey; a son, Robert Ramsey and his wife Pam of North Little Rock; daughter-in-law Mary Ramsey of Indiana; granddaughter, Tonya Wood; grandsons,Mike Ramsey and Tony Ramsey. Also step-granddaughters, Jennifer Nye and Didi Crawford; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson due in June; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe with Eastern Star services beginning at 5:00.

Funeral will be Monday, June 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial and a Masonic committal at Stoney Point Cemetery.
