DONALD GLENN WILLIAMS
Donald Glenn Williams, 76, of Huntsville, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, in
Huntsville.
He was born Friday, March 5, 1943, in Harts, W.V., to Rass and Ruby Scott Williams.
Don was a graduate of Huntsville High School and a member of the Rogers Church of Christ. He was a lifelong horseman who loved "shoot 'em up" westerns, bluegrass music and traveling, often bringing home interesting rocks and plants he discovered along the way. Don served his country as a government civilian in Vietnam, and retired as an over-the-road truck driver.
Don was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Major General (r) Paul Capasso of Leesburg, VA.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Don and Beverly Williams II pf Springdale, and James Williams of Huntsville; and three grandchildren, Patrick Williams of Springdale, Claire Capasso of Leesburg, Va., and Victoria Coats of Lincoln.
The family will receive friend from 5-7- p.m. on Monday, May 13, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, in the chapel with Pastor Don Pruitt, Major General (r) Paul Capasso and Dr. Doug Zweig officiating.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Williams, James Williams, Alton Phillips, Kenny Williams, Rass Williams, Dennis Williams, Kenny Williams Jr. and Patrick Duffy. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Williams, David Williams, Doug Williams and Gurney Williams.
Interment will immediately follow services at Venus Cemetery.
