Barbara Ann EASTER

Greenwood Cemetery
Garland County,
Arkansas

January 15, 1936 - October 24, 2014

Barbara Ann Campbell Easter died peacefully on October 24, 2014. Ann was born on January 15, 1936 in Narrows, Virginia. While in college she met a dashing young man, Hal Easter, who became the love of her life and her husband on August 31, 1957. They had five daughters and as a military wife Ann guided the family through multiple moves and deployments. After settling in Hot Springs in 1978 Ann turned her attention to her passion for education. She became a special education teacher at Hot Springs High School and completed a Master's Degree from Henderson State University in 1983. During her more than 25 years of teaching Ann touched many lives. Nothing put a bigger smile on her face than when she heard about the
successes of her former students. Ann had an outgoing personality and a sharp wit. She never met a stranger

Ann's proudest accomplishment was her family. She and Hal celebrated more than 55 years together and her love and devotion to him remained constant. She loved each of her daughters and encouraged them to follow their passions. Her support was unwavering in good times and in bad. That same love and support was there for each of her grandchildren with the added benefit of being able to spoil them at every opportunity.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Commander Hal Easter, her parents Inez and Zed B Campbell, her daughter Sheri Easter and her grandson Sean O'Neal. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Robyn and Pat O'Neal and granddaughter Ellen of Yorktown, Virginia, her grandchildren Chris and Jessica O'Neal of Orlando, Florida, daughter Terri Easter and grandson Greyson Teague of Hot Springs, AR, her daughter and son in law Kelly and Steve Barnes of Dallas, TX , her daughter and son in law Deana and Pat Hicks and granddaughter, Sommer of McKinney, TX, her brother Buddy Campbell and his wife Joann of Myrtle Beach, NC and her niece Ellen Haag of Dallas, TX.

God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered "come with me". A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest, God took you home to prove he only takes the best.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday October 28th at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday October 29th at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Chaplain Terry Coleman officiating. Pallbearers will be Patrick O’Neal, Pat Hicks, Steve Barnes, Christopher O’Neal, Greyson Teague and Gerald Hatley. Graveside services will be private at Greenwood Cemetery.
