Voley F. Yerton, 75, resident of Winslow, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital. A barber, he was born at Chester June 18, 1885, the son of Henry and Chloe Fuller Yerton, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Winslow, and was married to the former Miss Gertrude Gregg an November 17, 1909.

Survivors are his widow of Winslow, four sons, Charles and Fred Yerton, Fayetteville, David Yerton, U. S. Army, Albuquerque, N. M., and Jack Yerton, Winslow; two daughters, Mrs. John E. Schill and Miss Ethel Yerton, Shreveport, La.; two brothers, Tom Yerton, Tulsa, Okla., and Albert Yerton, Fayetteville; one, sister, Mrs. Baley Treadway, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Saturday at the Assembly of God Church at Winslow by the Rev. C. L. Miller of Morrilton, assisted by the Rev. Charles Fiant of Winslow. Burial will be in Brentwood cemetery with arrangements in charge of The Watson Mortuary.

Gertrude Mae Yerton, 101, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Oct. 13, 1989, in a local hospital. Born May 20, 1888, at Thompson, Ark., the daughter of Fred David and Lula Rose McHenry Gregg, she was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Voley F. Yerton, who died May 26, 1961.

Survivors are four sons, Charles Yerton and Fred Yerton, both of Fayetteville, David Yerton of Shreveport, La., and Jack Yerton Jacksonville, Ark., a daughter, Ethel Yerton of Shreveport La.; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral is 1 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church. The church has recently moved to 550 E. 15th St. in Fayetteville. Burial will be in the Brentwood cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
