When Dorothy Elizabeth Isaacs was born on April 11, 1905, in Madison, Arkansas, her father, Andrew, was 30, and her mother, Emily, was 26. She married Elmer Haggard on July 20, 1920, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on May 24, 1925, in Enola, Arkansas, at the age of 20, and was buried in Faulkner, Arkansas.
