Charley Carl Hughes, 85, of Brentwood, died Tuesday, July 4, 1995 at Washington Regional Medical Center.
Hughes was born March 25, 1910 in Brentwood, the son of George Ellis and Eva Bell Baker Hughes. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Hughes is survived by his wife, Grace Keys Hughes, of the family home; one son, Dean Hughes of Brentwood; one sister, Velva Flossie Quinn of Springdale; two half-brothers, Robert Ramey of Winslow and Phineus Ramey of Brentwood; two grandsons, Rodney Hughes of Brentwood and Lance Hughes of Little Rock; three great-granddaughters, Kimberly Hughes, Kasey Hughes and Kinley Hughes, all of Brentwood; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Omer D. Parrish officiating. Burial will be at Brentwood Cemetery in Brentwood, Ark. Visitation hours are 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel.

BRENTWOOOD — Grace Ozeta Hughes, 99, a resident of Brentwood, Ark., passed away June 2, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Oct. 16, 1914, at Brentwood, the daughter of Clarence Oliver and Doily Candasy Hooten Keys.
She attended the Unity Covenant Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hughes.
She is survived by one son, Dean Hughes and wife, Sally, of Brentwood; two grandsons, Rodney Hughes and wife, Deborah, and Lance Hughes; three great-grandchildren, Kimberly and husband, Jarrod Hankins, Kasey Hughes, and Kinley Hughes; one great-great-granddaughter, Harper Hankins.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Unity Covenant Church in West Fork, Ark., with burial at Brentwood Cemetery in Winslow, Ark.
Pallbearers: Billy Ramey, Jerry Ramey, Charlie Wilson, Wayland Mathias, Marion Ramey, Randall Ramey.
Honorary pallbearers: Ralph Ramey, Travis Ramey.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.
