U.S. Veteran Henry Maggard Jr, 80, of Haubstadt, Ind., died Sept. 15, 2017, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born to the late Henry and Fawn (Reynolds) Maggard on Nov. 3, 1936, on Reynolds Mt., Ark.

Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post #2714 and the American Legion Post #137 in Huntsville.

He was a member of the United Fellowship Church of Christ in Elberfeld, Ind.

Henry worked for 36 years at Bunny Bread and Sunbeam Bread Co. and was a member of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union.

Henry is preceded in death by: his wife, Hattie Cleaetta (Bragg) Maggand; his parents; his five brothers, Clifford, Lloyd, Artis, Wendell K. Maggard and Norman Gumm; and his three sisters, Betty Lou Harrison, Lucille Biffert and Tressa Hunt.

Henry is survived by: four children, Hank Maggard of Evansville, Ind., Brenda Marie (Henry) Trail of Fort Branch, Ind., Brian J. (Rae) Maggard of Evansville, and Sandra Lucille (Anthony) Hicks of Fort Branch, Ind.; four sisters, Mildred Cornelison of Wesley, Louise Spears of Huntsville, Ruthie Mae Richardson of Rogers, and JoAnn Christian of Western Grove; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, officiated by Pastor Bryan Parsley.

Burial will follow at Venus Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.

HAUBSTADT, Ind. - Hattie Cleaetta Maggard, 74, of Haubstadt, Ind., died Sept. 15, 2015.

Survivors: husband, Henry Maggard; children, Hank Maggard, Brenda Marie Trail, Brian J. Maggard and Sandra Lucille Hicks; six brothers and sisters.

Services Monday 2:00 p.m., Brashears Funeral Home-Huntsville, Arkansas www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. Interment Venus Cemetery. Visitation 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at Brashears.
