When Joseph R Cheatham was born on July 15, 1914, in Arkansas, his father, Harry, was 22 and his mother, Rosie, was 24. He had five children with Amy Eliza Spradlin. He then married on December 21, 1941, in McCrory, Arkansas. He died in August 1985 in Antioch, Arkansas, at the age of 71, and was buried in Faulkner, Arkansas.
