Huntsville — Paul Smith, 71, of Hindsville, died Monday in the Springdale hospital. Born Dec. 7, 1901 in Hindsville, the son of Alfred T. and Florence Elizabeth Fitch Smith, he was a farmer, stockman and Presbyterian.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Florence Jean Bandeen Smith of the home; three sons, P.J., A.T. and Bill, all of Hindsville; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Coger of Fayetteville; two brothers, Faye M. of Hindsville and Bryan of Alta, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Bunch and Mrs. Ophelia Crandall, both of Fayetteville and eight grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hindsville Presbyterian Church with burial in Hindsville Cemetery under direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
