Helen Melton, 89, of Batesville died Friday, March 29, 2002, at a local hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1912, in Erwin township, Mich., she was the daughter of Valentine and Anna Tabaka. She was a homemaker and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Stanley Melton of Honey Brook, Pa.; a brother, Peter Tabaka of Eagle River, Wis.; and a niece, Kitchie Arrendondo of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.R. Melton; and eight brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. John McDougal officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
