BENTONVILLE - Sandra "Sandy" Sue Phelps, 89, passed away on March 1, 2021, in Bentonville. She was a leap year baby, born Feb. 29, 1932, to the late Claude Riley and Lena Dorrit (Jones) Yates.
She worked at the Tyson Warehouse for many years before beginning her retired years working in the administrative offices at Osage Terrace. She loved this position and made many friends over the next 17 years while she served as secretary.
Sandy attended New Hope Assembly many years lead by Pastor James Longmate. She was an energetic person and always made friends with those she met.
Sandra is survived by daughter Kristy Harrison and husband David of Austin, Texas, and sister Betty Jo Rivera of Florida.
A graveside funeral will be on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. in Bentonville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, www.callisonlough@gmail.com.
