Thomas Henry “Mac” McDougal, 82, of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born June 21, 1929, to Thomas Leon and Mattie Lockwood McDougal in Strong, AR. Mac was a member of the First Baptist Church in Urbana. He was a Bluegrass Musician, a builder, owner and racing champion of dwarf cars, and he loved to hunt and fish. He always caught his limit of Crappie at Lake Darbonne. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie McDougal; sister, Geraldine McBroom; and an infant son, Dennis Michael McDougal. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Betty Jo Heath McDougal of Urbana; two sons, Thomas Lane McDougald (Pat) of Arlington, TX; Danny Wayne McDougal (Deanna) of Monroe, LA; daughter, Kathy Jean Danley (Charlie) of Baytown, TX; three step-daughters, Brenda D. Taylor (Charles) of El Dorado, Cheryl A. Heath of El Dorado, Teri Heath Seavers (Wayne) of Boonville, IN; brother, Dale McDougald (Monica) of Urbana; two sisters, Margie Turner of Norphlet, Mary Ann Malone of Bossier City, LA; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at the First Baptist Church in Urbana. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, at the First Baptist Church in Urbana with Rev. Ricky Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Urbana Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Urbana or to the Urbana Cemetery Fund, c/o David Waller, 329 Waller Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
