Etta Mae (Lutz) Evans was born on November 20, 1938 in McAlester, OK to Arthur and Mary Wilhoite Lutz. Etta married Carl Evans on March 26, 1960 and they were married for 43 years.

Etta was an accomplished pianist and organist. She made the best fried chicken, hot rolls and popcorn balls. Throughout the years she was a Homemaker, hair dresser, babysitter, assisted with the family chicken farm, secretary at Washington County Farm Bureau, and worked at Claims Management, Inc. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and she had much love for her sons and grandchildren.

Etta and Carl were Missionaries in Brazil for seven years. Her musical talents and love for people allowed her to spread the love of Jesus.

Etta is survived by her two sons - Michael and wife, Robin; Steven and wife, Mara; three grandchildren - Alyson, Jenna and Landon; two sisters - Letha and Drusilla; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and five siblings - Thelma, Ruth, Wayne, Floyd and Buddy Boy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at Nelson Berna in Rogers.

Her Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Pentecostals of NWA. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Rev. Norman Hamby will be officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
