ROGERS — Charles Williams Dunnaway, 81, of Rogers passed away Jan. 9, 2021, at University of Kansas
Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Hiwasse, Ark., the son of Willie Paul and Fleeta Horton Galyean Dunnaway.
He was a salesman for Bruce Rogers Company, a graduate of Gravette High School's Class of 1957. Charles was a member of the First Christian Church in Rogers and served in the Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Sue Wood and Paul Dean Dunnaway; and grandchildren Kelsey Hull and Candi and Brandi Dunnaway.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jackie Whorton Dunnaway of the home; children Todd Dunnaway and fiancee Shannon Wells of Mountain Home, and Lana Hull and husband Larry of Springdale; siblings Ann Red of Centerton and Gary Dunnaway of Rogers; grandchildren Brian Dunnaway, Britni Hull, Tiffany Lowrey and husband Chris, Brittany Dunnaway and fiance Teague Butcher and Jordon Hull and wife Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and bowling, he also was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at the First Christian Church, 13th and Oak streets, Rogers. Interment with military honors at the Rogers Cemetery. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Wounded Warriors.
