Mr. Howard Wayne Moten, age 71, of Mandeville, Arkansas, formerly of McNab, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born in McNab, Arkansas on March 24, 1939 to William Ernest and Ruth Elizabeth Clayton Moten.
He was a diesel mechanic and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gladys Aileen Perkins Moten, one brother Dennis Moten and one grandson Shane Murphy.
His Survivors Include: Three Sons: Clifford Wayne Moten, and Jannie, McNab, Arkansas; Wade Howard Moten and Stephanie, McNab, Arkansas, and Wade Earl Wiggins, Tupelo, Mississippi. Seven Daughters: Ruthie Mae Murphy and Stanley, Camden, Arkansas; Tina Burson and Joe, Emmet, Arkansas; Lisa Rhodes and Jon, McNab, Arkansas; Kathryn Moten, McNab, Arkansas; Michelle Thompson and Anthony, Valliant, Oklahoma; Jessie Lewis and Danny, Bodcaw, Arkansas, and Mary Darlene Cobb and Tony, Tupelo, Mississippi. Two Brothers: James "Sonny" Moten, Washington, Arkansas, and Glen Moten, Mandeville, Arkansas. Two Sisters: Ernestine Powell, Harrison, Arkansas, and Janice Campbell and Bruno, Lewisville, Arkansas. Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas. Graveside Services will be Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Yellow Creek Cemetery, Saratoga, Arkansas.
Burial to follow. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas. Family Will Receive Friends on Saturday, January 8, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas.
