Harold Barron, 78 of Hot Springs, Arkansas was born on August 3, 1941, in Plainview, Arkansas. He passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019, with his loving family by his side.



Harold moved to Hot Springs when he was a child and attended Douglas and Langston Schools. He joined Haven United Methodist Church and gave his life to Christ at a young age. He later joined New Walter’s A.M.E. Zion Church in Hot Springs, where he would remain until his passing. He was a dedicated member and Chairman of the Trustee Board.



Harold was a kind and loving family man, who was dependable and hard working. He worked at Buena Vista Resort doing maintenance work for several years before he retired.



He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Barron and brothers, William and James Barron.
Left to continue his irreplaceable legacy is his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Joyce Marie Barron; his three children: James Anthony Barron, Cynthia Barron Davis and Joy Barron (Tommy) all of Hot Springs; 8 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.



There will be a Home Going Celebration of Life Service for Harold at 12:00pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019, at New Walter’s A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 205 Silver Street, Hot Springs. There will be a visitation at the church, Saturday morning, from 11:00am-12:00pm. His earthly body will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Hot Springs. The family will be receiving friends at 133 Boaz Street, in Hot Springs.
