Jerry McDonald, 81, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday May 28, 2016 at his home after a battle with liver cancer. He was born March 22, 1935, in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late William and Dorothy (Wheaton) McDonald. Jerry had a strong faith in God and was a member of First Assembly of God in Hot Springs. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family. Jerry loved the outdoors and was a very talented craftsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Teena Maner; great-granddaughter, Paige Koonce; and sister, Mary Louise Hartle.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Bernice McDonald; son, Rickie Bates (Brenda); daughter, Susan Maner all of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Tami, Kym, Angie (Patrick), Sara (Chad); great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Memory, AnnaBelle, Brionna, Kami, Benjamin, Keira; and great-great-grandchildren, Liam, Izzy, and Oliver.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth Hale Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth Hale Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Chad Ericson, Rickie Bates, Patrick Naven, Donnie Dukes, Gary Nelson, and Matt Muehler.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Yandell, Jerry Dukes, Dr. Lynn Cleveland and Staff, and Dr. James McCarley and Staff.
