Gelene Carpenter, 90, of Ozark, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Ozark. She was a retired line worker at Cargil and was of the Christian faith. She was born October 21, 1928 in Ozark to Jeff and Bernice Harris White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Carpenter; her parents; three sisters, Ida Carpenter, Saroy Larrison, and Baby Ruth Barham; and two brothers, Lance and Rodney White.
Gelene is survived by a son, John Carpenter of Conway, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Lindsey Cube and Brittany Curry; andtwo great grandchildren, Alban Cube and Boregard “Bou” Curry.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, January 18th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 235 West Commercial St. Ozark.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Belt Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Ryan, Nathan, and Andrew Hopper, and Dewayne, Tommy, and Mitchel Johnson
