BELLA VISTA — Franklin L. Hamilton Jr., 60, of Bella Vista, Ark., died surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 6, 2020, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Sept. 16, 1959, in Jonesville, La., to Franklin, Sr., and Virgie (Punchard) Hamilton.

He moved with his family to Bentonville, Ark., in 1961, and then to Centerton, Ark., in 1969, where he grew up. Franklin attended the Benton County Sunshine school until he was 18 years old. He worked for Guardian Industries for 11 years and worked at Tyson for 16 years before retiring. He touched the hearts of all those he met, and he never met a stranger.

Franklin Jr., enjoyed football, basketball, baseball, and fishing. He was a huge Razorback fan and could tell you who played and what year they played for Arkansas. One of his favorite places to visit was Branson, Mo., and Silver Dollar City.

Although he never rode in rides at the park, he would walk around talking and visiting with everyone in the park, loved to listen to the music and interact with the events within the park. He loved his hometown of Bentonville where he spent many days walking the entire town visiting with anyone he met on his walk.

Franklin is survived by his mother, Virgie, of the home; father Franklin Sr. (Virginia) of Centerton, Ark.; brothers Donnie (Melissa) Hamilton of Springdale, Ark., and Allan (Jessica) Hamilton of Bella Vista, Ark.; sisters Rosetta (Wendell) Tyler of Midway, Ark., and Terrie (Craig) Tureman of Bentonville, Ark.; nephews Roger Worrell of Fayetteville, Ark, and Jason Goad of Strawberry, Ark.; niece Krystal Worrell of Bentonville, Ark.; three great-nephews; and lots of loving cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral services will at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 at Callison-Lough, with the burial to follow in Bentonville Cemetery: Online condolence may be made at www.callisonloughfh.com.
