BENTONVILLE — Ronald "Ron" Neal Beaty, 82, of Bentonville died Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home. He was born July 15, 1938, in Hollis, Okla., the son of Graciebell Gilmore and John Anderson Beaty.
He served in the mission field for eight years in Belize, St. Vincent and Guyana. He was a preacher and teacher for many years serving at several local churches.
Ron was a draftsman and mechanical designer for many years, retiring with Benchmark Group. He enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, loved working puzzles, and gardening. He loved playing several games with the grandchildren, especially dominoes and chess.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Brian Beaty; and brothers Bob Beaty, Wayne Beaty, Jakie Beaty and Charles Beaty.
Ron is survived by wife Margaret Beaty, whom he married Dec. 19, 1958; son Kenneth Beaty and wife Pamela of Boca Raton, Fla.; daughter Ronda Phillips of Centerton; sister Sharon Autrey and husband Roger of Garfield; brother Stanley Beaty of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and grandchildren Josh Kimbrell, Wade Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Matthew Beaty and James Beaty.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:30-1:30 at Bella Vista Church of Christ.
A celebration of Ron's life will be Monday at 1:30 at Bella Vista Church of Christ with Randall Caselman officiating. Interment will follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
