DEANE, C.W. - Dr. C.W. Deane, one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens, died at his home near Mount Comfort on the 5th inst. His death was not a surprise as his physical condition for many weeks had been such as to forewarn his friends of the approaching end. He was 76 years old and had lived an honored citizen of this county for nearly half a century. He had strong religious convictions and was a devout member of the Episcopal church. There was a universal expression of sorrow among our citizens on learning of his death and many attended the last sad rites which took place on Saturday at the grave in Mt. Comfort cemetery.
