LUCAS, Lem - Lem Lucas died Sunday morning at 2 o'clock at the home of his brother Bayless, two miles south of Springdale. His death was due to consumption and enlargement of the heart and liver. The remains were interred Sunday afternoon in Bluff Cemetery. He was conscious to the last and requested that there be no services at his burial. He also expressed the wish that they do not use the hearse and his wishes were respected in both instances. Mr. Lucas was about 57 years of age and was well known around Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville, having been employed in livery barns at these places in times past when his health would permit. A few months ago he returned from Stroud, Oklahoma where he was employed by Peter Graham and since that time has been making his home with his brother. Deceased was a member of the I.O.O.F. and had numerous friends.
