LANDRON, Charley - (from The Fayetteville Daily) Charley, the twelve-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Landron, passed away at twelve minutes to eleven o'clock last night at his home on Locust street. The day before Christmas he climbed a tall oak tree to get a bunch of mistletoe. He missed his footing and fell fifteen feet to the ground, breaking his right leg in two places, suffering what the doctor's call a compound fracture. it was a terrible injury, the bone coming entirely through the flesh. About ten days ago blood poison set in followed closely by lockjaw. After he was attacked with tetanus his sufferings were very intense and more distressing as the little fellow was entirely conscious to the last. The funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, Rev. J.E. Denham officiating and the interment took place in Combs cemetery.
