Ralph W. Shreve, 88, of Farmington died Wednesday in a Fayetteville nursing home. Born Aug. 25, 1895, in Farmington, the son of Alfred Walker and Nancy Catherine Robertson Shreve, he was the widower of Janie Belle Wilson Shreve. He was a lifetime resident of Farmington and served 7 1/2 years as Washington County surveyor. He worked as a surveyor in Washington County from 1939 until his retirement in 1973. He was a Protestant and a member of the Farmington Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are two sons, William Franklin (Bill) Shreve of Farmington and Ralph Shreve Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Waurika Porter and Mrs. Nancy Catherine Foster, both of Farmington; 17 grandchildren and 21 greet-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore's Chapel with burial in Farmington Cemetery.
