DIES NEAR GREENLAND

James W. King, 65, died Sunday at his home, two and a half miles southwest of Greenland. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Assembly of God church with Rev. Ralph Porter officiating. Burial was in Tharpe cemetery.

Mr. King was son of the late General Major King and Mrs. Rebecca Ann Waller King, all of Clark County, Ill., where Mr. King was born Feb, 18, 1875.

He leaves his wife Mrs. Liz Plumber King, and the following children:

General Major King, 2nd, of the home; Alice of Cincinnati, Al? Elsie, James Jr., Roy and Ruth, of the home. A sister, Mrs. L? Kirkland of Prairie Grove and two brothers, Dirk of Lincoln and Clark of Prairie Grove, also a? vive. (Note ? means unreadable.)

Prairie Grove -- Mrs Lizzie King, 91, of Prairie Grove died Thursday in a Fayetteville nursing home. Born Sept. 2, 1893, in Madison County, the daughter of Jack and Dolly Calvert Plummer, she was a member of the Greenland Church of Christ.

Survivors are three sons, General of Lincoln, Roy of Sunnyside, Wash., and James of Prairie Grove; two daughters, Mrs Elsie Kirkland of Lincoln and Mrs. Ruth Birk of Springdale; a sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Crabtree of Prairie Grove; 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Thorp Cemetery in Fayetteville.
