County Fair President Dies At 58

Prairie Grove - Harley Mayes Freedle, 58, of Prairie Grove died Wednesday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Feb. 27, 1925, at Westville, Okla., the son of Crockett and Sadie Kirk Freedle, he was manager of the Southwestern Electric Power Company's Prairie Grove office. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea and was a member of the Lincoln First United Presbyterian Church. He served for the past eight years as president of the Washington County Fair Association and had been chairman of the Arkansas Apple Festival Committee for the past two years.

He was the outgoing president of the Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Arkansas Louisiana District Exchange Club, a member of the Prairie Grove Lions Club and a member of the board of the Washington County Razorback Club for the past three years. He was a charter member of the Ozark Guidance Center Council.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Moore Freedle, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Terri Alice Masters of Dallas, Texas; a son, Jerry Lee Freedle of Irving, Texas; three brothers, John of Santa Paula, Calif., Lee of Portland, Ore. and Robert of Westville; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Crowe of Fontana, Calif., Mrs. Mattie Hickman of LaHabra, Calif., Mrs. Frances Price of Costa Mesa, Ariz. and Mrs. Anna Kirk, of Westville and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lincoln First United Presbyterian Church with burial in White Rock Cemetery, near Dutch Mills, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln First United Presbyterian Church or to the American Heart Association.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Ellen Lucille Freedle Dalrymple, 87, of Prairie Grove died Aug. 25, 2011, in Fayetteville.

She was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Salem Springs, to Charlie H. and Ruth Alice Watson Moore.

She was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln and a member of the Women's Circle and choir.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Lee Freedle of Flower Mound, Texas; a daughter, Terri Alice Masters of Victoria, Texas; two stepsons, John Larry Dalrymple and Homer Ray Dalrymple, both of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Elaine Jones of Farmington; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Rock Cemetery near Lincoln.
