WILLIAM RICHARD (RICK) KELLEY, 63, of Jacksonville, AR, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015 while surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 5, 1952 in New Orleans, La. to Louis and Doris Kelley. Rick graduated from Minden High School and received his Master's Degree in Science Education from Louisiana Tech University, where he met his wife Jan Cason Kelley. He served in the US Air Force from April, 1976 to June, 1981. He is retired from the Arkansas Department of Health after 26 years. Rick was an active member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan Kelley; son Dr. Matthew Kelley and wife, Maggie Smykla Kelley of Orlando, FL; mother Doris Kelley of Minden, LA; and sister Nancy and husband H. Rhea Chafin of Guatemala City, Guatemala. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Wednesday, August 26 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bob Fielding officiating. Memorials may be made to the Jacksonville Animal Shelter or the First Baptist Church, Jacksonville Building Fund. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
