OBIT
Franklin Scott, age 85, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021. He was born July 15, 1935 in Warrenton, Georgia to the late William and Fannie Mae Scott. Franklin had an inborn passion for golfing and tinkering on cars and electronics. He loved nothing more than taking apart and reassembling anything he could get his hands on, both to the joy, and sometimes dismay, of his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Scott and son, Terence Scott.
Survivors include his children, Patricia Scott, Jerry (Ju Hee) Scott and Daphne Scott and Franklin's granddaughter, Kimberly Simcox.
Due to COVID and the state of one family member's health, the family has requested a closed memorial service. Instead of flowers, please make a donation to a local food bank in Franklin Scott's name. The family would like to thank the entire team at Senior Somerset Living at Premier and Hospice Home Care for their outstanding care and love, even up to the final moments of Franklin's passing. Arrangements provided by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. (501) 982-2136.
