SPRINGDALE — Norman Joseph Bone, 62, of Springdale died July 6, 2000, at Springdale. He was born May 22, 1938, in Melbourne to Stephen A. and Zora Z. Meeker Bone. He served in the Army from 1959 to 1961 and later served in the National Guard for many years. He was a program director at the Northwest Arkansas Mall for several years. He enjoyed fishing and photography. He was a member of Johnson Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bone, to whom he was married 34 years; one son, Steven Bone of Springdale; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan Alderson and Rick of Prairie Grove; three brothers, James Bone of Prairie Grove, Kenneth Bone of Moses Lake, Wash., and Steven A. Bone of Johnson; two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Mario Alverez officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Pierson, Derrick Greene, Robert Pierce, Robert Atkins, Colby Center, James Diondi and Jacob Schultz.
