SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Dawn E. Gauthier, 49, of Ascot Circle, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at St. Lucie Hospice in Fort Pierce, Fla.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1960, in Campbellsville, Ky., the daughter of Walter & Norma Swetnam.
She was a high school graduate of South Sioux City, Neb. and Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.
On Dec. 20, 1986, she married Christopher Gauthier of Corning, Iowa. In 1987, they purchased the Regan & Denny Funeral Service in Queensbury and South Glens Falls. They made their home in Queensbury.
On Nov. 25, 1994, Chris died unexpectedly.
She leaves her two sons, Trevor C. Gauthier of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Brendan S. Gauthier of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; her parents, Dr. Walter and Norma Swetnam, of Batesville, Ark.; a sister, J. Gwyn Williams and her husband, Rob, of Huntsville, Ala.; a brother, Browder Swetnam and his wife, Tsigereda, of Oman; brothers and sisters-in-law: Nan Gauthier McCreary and her husband, Jim, of Houston, Texas, Tony Gauthier and his wife, Joelle, of Grand Rapids, Mich. Joe Gauthier of Corning, Iowa, Margaret Gauthier of Portland, Ore. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. The Rev. Walter Swetnam and Rob Williams will officiate.
Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery, Queensbury, N.Y.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Tunison Funeral Home, prior to the service.
Regan and Denny Funeral Service of Queensbury, N.Y., also assisted with arrangements.
NOTE: This is a memorial bench placed as a cenotaph in her honor. She is buried at Pineview Cemetery, Queensbury, N.Y.
