Patricia Vivian Duckworth Harris died peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the age of 84. Patricia was born on July 2, 1931, in England, AR, to Jessie James Duckworth and Zana Margaret Long. For over 20 years she was the director of Windamere Day Care in North Little Rock. Upon retirement she served for many years as a volunteer for the North Little Rock Police Department, and also worked as a volunteer researcher with the Lonoke County Museum. She was known for her love and dedication to her family, and as an advocate for the less fortunate. She will be remembered for her sense of humor as well as a multitude of artistic endeavors and accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton E. Harris, Sr., her son, John Robert Harris, as well as her parents, Jessie and Zana Duckworth. Patricia is survived by her children, Peggy Bundy and her husband, Bob, of Cabot, Carlton E. Harris, Jr. "Eddy" and his wife, Dee, of Dahlonega, GA, Pam Hall of Mt. Vernon, five grandchildren: Julie, Nickolas, Allison, Tyler, and John Robert, and three great-grandchildren: Abbie, Bailey, and Case. She is also survived by her siblings, James Robert "Buzzy" Duckworth, Dorris McFadin, and Kenneth Duckworth, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Tallent and Chaplain David Barnes of the North Little Rock Police Department officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the NLRPD Shop-With-A-Cop Program or the NLR Police Athletic League (PAL) Program.
