Mrs. T. M. Mehaffy Called by Death
Funeral Services Will Be Held at 3 This Afternoon.
Mrs. Annie Arrabelle, Mehaffy, aged 50, wife of Thomas M. Mehaffy, died yesterday at a local
hospital, following an Illness of four weeks. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3
from the family residence, 2102 Louisiana street, conducted by the Rev. J. D. Hammond, pastor
of Winfield Memorial Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. James Thomas. Burial will be in
Oakland cemetery.
The pallbearere will be: Honorary -Charles C. Reid, George Thornburgh, C. E. Rosenbaum, A. S.
Fowler, James A. Gray, T. A. Sims, Judge G. W. Hendrix, W. E. Lenon, Morris M. Cohn, A. W.
Holland, E. B. Irvine, E. B. Kinsworthy, R. C. Wright, Geo. E. Thompson, Gordon N. Peay and J. H.
Carmichael. Active J. B. Dickinson, C. E. Hayes, W. M. Lewis, Lem Kirkpatrick, . Price Shofner

Mrs. Mehaffy was widely known in Little Rock and throughout the state. She was active in church
work. Born in Belfast, Grant county, May 11, 1867, she moved with her parents
at an early age to Benton, where she lived until about 21 years ago, when she
came to Little Rock, residing here since. She met Mr. Mehaffy at Benton, where
they were married 33 years ago.
Surviving her are her husband, three sons, James W. Mehaffy, city attorney;
Charles Mehaffy, a local attorney, and Carl Mehaffy; three daughters, the
Misses Helen, Pat and Lucille Mehaffy, all of Little Rock; five brothers, A, B.,
E. A. and Fred Poe of Little Rock, Dr. W. D. Poe of Sherman, Tex., and O. S. Poe
of Fort Smith, and six sisters, Mrs. A. J. Graham, Mrs. Birdie Smith, Mrs. E. E.
Hodges, Mrs. Beulah Seaman, Mrs. Arthur Herndon and Miss Alice Poe, all of
Little Rock.
