OBIT
Ruth Marie Gannon, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, July 4, 2008. Ruth was born October 1, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Clara Connolly. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jean and Clare, and one brother Kenneth. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by many. She was an active member at St. Judes Catholic Church and Holy Family Parish at Little Rock Air Force Base, where she was past president of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, J.R. Gannon, a sister Joann (Norman) Weiss, two daughters; Maureen and Jennifer (Damien), two sons; Michael and Thomas (Kelli), four grandchildren; Shauna (Juston), Heather (Michael), Jeffrey (Amber), and Jeremy, three great-grandchildren; Jameson, Dallas, and Ryan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 7, 2008 at St. Judes Catholic Church 2403 McArthur Drive, Jacksonville, AR 72076. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the church with a Rosary following at 7:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. A special thanks to CNAs London, Kathy, and nurses Anna, Karen, and Molly. They were great.
