May 28, 1881 - September 9, 1966
Mrs. Annie Virginia Clawson, 85, of Route 1, Smackover, died at a Smackover hospital Friday afternoon after a brief Illness. Born in Louisiana, May 28, 1881, she was the daughter of Paulsy and Margaret Peterson Labeff. She had lived in the Smackover area for the past 45 years and was a member of the Smackover Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, James Lavelle Clawson, Smackover, Noah Clawson, Bossier City, La., and George Clawson, Louann; five daughters, Mrs. Maude Young, Mrs. J. A. Perry, Mrs. Ed Lee and Mrs. Paul Kegley, all of Smackover, and Mrs. Dorothy Crawford, Morgan City, La.; 28 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral arrangements will be by Rumph Mortuary. (The El Dorado Times - September 10, 1966)
