Funeral services for Walter T. Atkinson will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pratt-Barton Chapel. Mr. Atkinson, 40, died in San Rafael, Cal. Thursday. He was born in Warren on July 23, 1924 and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Bessie Atkinson of El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Colvin and Mrs. Martha Vassalio of Shreveport, La. and Mrs. Alice Ponder of El Dorado; two brothers, Doyle Atkinson and Albert Bishop Atkinson, both of Norphlet; his father C. C. Atkinson of Huttig and his grandmother, Mrs. Jeannette White of El Dorado. Burial at the Salem Cemetery will follow the service. (The El Dorado Times - November 9, 1964)
