Michael Gene Hamilton, son of Doris Jean Brooks Jackson and the late John Robert Hamilton, Jr., was born March 11, 1965 in Rockford, Illinois. He departed this life May 8, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 55 years, 1 month and 27 days. Mike spent his life as a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend.

He proudly served in the United States Army, 75th Ranger Airborne from 1987 – 1991. Most of his working years were spent working construction as a carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mike is survived by his mother: Doris Jackson of Melbourne; one brother: Erik Jackson of Melbourne; a special cousin: Tammy Miller and husband Doug of Sage; a special aunt and uncle: Jean and Ray Vanatta of Sage and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother: Keith Wayne Hamilton.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Reeves Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers: Brian Wetteland, Bob Eddy, Eddie Roberts, Carles Brooks, Roger Brooks, Dennis Stone.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sonja Finley, Dale Finley and Ray Vanatta.
