Timothy Edmund Martin was born into time on November 27, 1979 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the union of Gilbert and Cathy (Wilson) Martin. “Timmy” as he was commonly called was fortunate to be a part of the Martin family and the Wilson family. Being a member of both he was blessed with an abundance of life, laughter and support. Timmy grew up to be a handsome young man and showed himself to be friendly. He never met a stranger and was known as a trusted friend.

He grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and was active as a youth attending church, Sunday school and vacation bible school. He attended Hot Springs High School maintained close and lasting friendships. Timmy enjoyed sports, music, fishing and loved to eat. He was that cool, laid-back friend who had a great sense of humor; a true comedian and he knew how to have a good time. He never waited for a hand out; he was known to be a “go getter”.

Timothy was an outstanding father. He took his role as father to heart. He spent time with his children and they were truly his pride and joy. Not only birthdays and holidays were special, but everyday was a special day when it came to his children. He was an employee of National Park Hospital and attended Greater St. Paul Baptist Church with his mother from time to time.

In his 37th season of life he surrendered his soul. Family, as well as friends, will miss his quiet strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and his eagerness to make one laugh. He lived life to the fullest, and there was never a dull moment when Timmy was around.

He was welcomed to his eternal home by his grandfathers; Gilbert Martin, Sr., and Clarence Wilson; his grandmother, Hosea Etta Wilson; and his aunt, Catrina Helms.

Timothy Edmund Martin will live forever in the hearts of his mother, Cathy D. Roundtree; his father, Gilbert (Elnora) Martin, Jr.; his children, Tavion Rector-Martin and Malayah Martin; his grandmother, Edith Mae Martin; two sisters, Kimberly E. Martin and Shonna M. (Kevin) Richardson; one brother Gilbert (Christian) Martin, III.; aunts, Cheryl Batts, Linda (Nathaniel) Brown, Cynthia (Richard) Woodard, and Sherry (Ben) Wiley; uncles, Gregory (Betty Lou) Wilson, Al Helms, Danny Martin, Tyrone Martin, Conell Martin and Charles Smith.
