Ardelia HUFF

Friendship (African American) Cemetery
Garland County,
Arkansas

February 11, 1929 - August 15, 2018

Ardelia Huff in her 89th season of life was granted her request and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Ms. Huff was a faithful member and financial supporter of Union Baptist Church. She would often walk to church from the Greenbrier Apartments. She exhibited her faith by serving as an usher, attending Sunday School and morning worship. She was loved her church and her pastor. When someone would visit her, she would proudly tell you about her pastor and UMBC. Ms. Huff was a caretaker for her sister, Pauline Canady and her two nephews, L.J. Cooper and Troy Best. Being an independent woman, she lived alone until she realized it was not in her best interest. It was it 2010 she moved to Golden Living which is now Canyon Springs. She met many friends and was cared for by the kind and caring staff. She had a special love for Katie Anderson who affectionally called her “Mama”. Ms. Huff was not happy if she didn’t her address her properly. She was a former employee of Senior Companion. A job that she loved where she could help someone in need.

She will be remembered with love by her Union Baptist Church Family, the Staff of Canyon Springs Nursing & Rehab and especially her beloved daughter, Katie Anderson and her extended family. May God bless everyone who took the time to visit her, bring her to church, take her food or maybe you just prayed for her, she was forever grateful.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday, August 17, 2018 at Friendship Cemetery with Pastor Douglas E. Jones, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services.
