Monticello, Arkansas
James Lamar Phelps, Sr., 65, of Monticello passed away Sunday,
November 11, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born
February 17, 1947 to the late James Ashton and Helen Wilson
Phelps in Monticello, Arkansas.
He was owner of Phelps Tire Service and of the Baptist faith.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, J.T Trantham
and one sister, Cheryl Phelps.
He is survived by three daughters; Christy Phelps Trantham of
Monticello, Asia Phelps of McGehee and Cheyenne Phelps of
Monticello; one son, James Lamar “Bud” Phelps, Jr. of Monticello;
two brothers, Roger Phelps and Garry Phelps both of Monticello;
one son-in-law Trae Trantham of Monticello; four grandsons,
Jacob, Joshua, Dalton and Mason and one granddaughter, Katie.
