Harold Gene Owen, 81 of the Griffith Springs Community (Lincoln County), died December 20, 2014 at his home. He was born January 23, 1933 in Griffith Springs to the late William A. and Dora Reynolds Owen, Sr. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Griffith Springs and a member of Owen Hunting Club. He was retired from Davis Cabinets, a farmer and was a craftsman that could build anything. He was also an airplane mechanic for the United States Air Force. Also preceding him in death were 2 sisters, Mauriece Owen Finley and Betty Owen Aureli and granddaughter, Rachel Nicole Gasaway. Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years Lena Massanelli Owen; 2 sons, Russell Owen and Gary Owen, all of the Griffith Springs Community; 3 daughters, Lisa Miller of the Griffith Springs Community, Jeanne Harrison of the Crigler Community and Donna Fergusson of the Little Garnett Community; 1 brother, W.A. Owen, Jr.; 1 sister, Marzee Owen Weatherford, both of the Griffith Springs Community; Five Grandsons, Anthony ,Joshua, Justin, Andrew and Adam Owen, Five Granddaughters, Leslie Hall, April Glasscock, Christi Whaley, Jennifer Sjodahl and Brittney Miller and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 2:00PM Monday at New Owen Cemetery with Bro. Carl Gene Holloway officiating. Visitation is 12:00 PM until funeral time at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Pallbearers are Adam Owen, Andrew Owen, Josh Owen, Justin Owen, Anthony Owen, Randy Harrison, Donny Miller and Keith Hoyt. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Owen Cemetery, c/o Lisa Miller, 379 Arrowhead Road, Pine Bluff Ar. 71603 Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
