OBIT
Robert "Bob" Edwin Vaughan our beloved father and husband, 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born on August 18, 1939 in Quitman , Arkansas to the late Coy and Oletta Vaughan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Wall. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail Sims Vaughan, three daughters, Kathryn (David) Massanelli of Beebe, Deborah (Danny) Ward of Little Rock, Sandra (Keith) Heslep, and one granddaughter, Holly Heslep of Cabot, one sister Ailene Eddleman and one brother Richard Vaughan both of Quitman.
Bob was a longtime tire dealer, he opened Vaughan Tire Company in Jacksonville in 1970. He loved talking with his customers about his cows, gardens, and tractors. He enjoyed sharing his fresh vegetables with everyone. Bob especially loved raising a turnip green patch. "Poppa" loved his granddaughter, Holly. They spent many hours playing Go Fish and Old Maid. She loved it when he let her drive his big tractor and his truck around the pasture. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and businessman. Bob loved his family and all the customers he got to meet through Vaughan Tire Company.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Shotts and Gerrie Knight at Cabot Medical Clinic for the care they gave him. As we all think of the wonderful memories we have to share with each other about our dad and husband, he was loved very much and will be missed beyond words.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
