ROGERS — Jon "Ross" Perkins, 84, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Bentonville, Ark. He was born April 6, 1935, in Decatur, Ark., to Marcus Lloyd Perkins and Mabel Green Perkins.

Ross began his career at Peterson Industries as soon as he graduated from high school and continued employment there for over 50 years, where he retired as vice-president.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and tending to his farm. He took great pride and joy in his kids and grandkids.

Ross was a member of New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Rea Perkins, in 2015.

Ross is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Weeks and husband Terry of Rockwall, Texas, and Joni Thomas and husband Mike of Rogers; four grandchildren, Robyn Foster and husband Keith of Richardson, Texas, Ryan Thomas and wife Courtney of Bentonville, Ashley Hagan and husband Aaron of Rogers, and Kyle Weeks of Dallas, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Owen Foster, Ari Foster, Eva Foster, Seth Foster, Penny Foster, Aden Hagan, Archer Hagan, Ella Thomas and Everett Thomas; and sister Mary Ellen Burden and husband Howard of Decatur.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral chapel.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Ark., with Pastor James Longmate officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Memories may be shared at stockdale-moodyfs.com.

CENTERTON — Alma Rea Perkins, 78, of Centerton, Ark., passed away Saturday, Sept. 12., 2015, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Gravette, Ark., to Perry Albert Phillips and Susie Irene Hoke Phillips.

She was a much loved and respected employee of the Decatur School System for over 40 years, and the "Alma Perkins Library" is a lasting tribute to her time there.

Alma had a great love for the Lord and was an active member of New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers. She taught Sunday School and was a great supporter of missions through the years.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ross Perkins; two daughters, Rhonda Weeks and husband, Terry of Tulsa, Okla., Joni Thomas and husband, Mike of Rogers; one brother, Byron Phillips and wife, Phyllis of Bella Vista, Ark; four grandchildren: Robyn Foster and husband, Keith of Richardson, Texas; Ryan Thomas and wife, Courtney of Bentonville; Ashley Hagan and husband, Aaron of Rogers; Kyle Weeks of Dallas, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren: Owen Foster, Ari Foster, Eva Foster, Seth Foster, Aden Hagan, Archer Hagan, Eila Thomas, and Everett Thomas.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at New Hope Assembly of God with Pastor James Longmate officiating. Burial will follow at the Decatur Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in honor of Alma Perkins to New Hope Assembly of God Missions, 2626 W. New Hope Rd., Rogers, AR, 72758.
