Sulla R. Jackson, 95, passed away August, 2, 2012 at the Ouachita County Medical Center. She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, where she previously served as Mission Society treasurer. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and was known throughout the community as a talented seamstress. She loved making things for others. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Hawkins; a husband, Willie Curry, a husband, Jimmy Lee Jackson, three brothers, Hosie Hawkins, L. C. Hawkins, and Jimmy Hawkins; and three sisters, Stella Hawkins, Jennie B. Hawkins, and Mary F. Johnson.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Susie Stepster of Rialto, Ca; three sisters, Betty Monk of Camden, AR, Floydean Williams of Los Angeles, CA, and Lee Ester Moore of San Francisco, CA; two brothers, Johnny Hawkins and his wife, Ollie of Camden, AR and Earvin Hawkins and his wife Eloise of Milwaukee, WI and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be 11:00 Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Camden followed by interment at Eternal Rest Cemetery.
