Ray Hullen Rice, 89, of Altus, Arkansas died Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Altus. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Altus. He was born June 30, 1930 in Diggers, Arkansas to Ray and Lora Arnold Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Fredia King and Loretta Conyers.
Ray is survived by his wife of sixty eight years, Wanda Williams Rice; three daughters, Louise Riggs of Altus, Shirley Eddy of Hartman, and Brenda Shaffer of Ozark, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July23, 2019 at the United Pentecostal Church of Altus with Brother Larry Stacy and Brother James Larabel officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, July 22nd at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 W. Commercial St. in Ozark. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Rofkahr, Lonnie Turner, Johnny Williams, Paul and Ronnie Lee, Clifton Ellison, and Edward and Kenneth Williams.

Wanda
September 16, 1933 - May 5, 2021

Wanda Ray Williams Rice passed away at 87, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at her home in Altus, Arkansas. Wanda was born to Johnny and Dora Williams on September 16, 1933, in Cravens, Arkansas. She was a lifetime member of the United Pentecostal Church of Altus. She is preceded in death by her parents; twelve brothers and sisters; and her husband, Ray Hullen Rice.
Wanda is survived by her brother Paul Williams and his wife, Bertha; her three daughters, Louise Riggs of Altus, Shirley and husband Tommy Eddy of Hartman, and Brenda and her husband Newton Shaffer of Ozark; her seven grandchildren; her thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; her sister-in-law Martha Belle Rice, her brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Pearl Rice, and her brother and sister-in-law Don and Norma Lee Rice; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life she was a homemaker, an employee of Cargill and of Circle M. She was member of the Ladies Axillary of the United Pentecostal Church of Altus and Prayer Sisters. But she was most happy and fulfilled when helping her daughters with their homes and children. Wanda loved her family fiercely, and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home with Brother James Larabel officiating under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home, burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Yarbrough, Aaron West, Chase Yarbrough, Will West, Jacob Yarbrough, Sean West, Justin Price, and Richard Grimes. Honorary pallbearers are Jackson Pardue, Weston Pardue, Gavin Gauthier, Shaffer Grimes, Jim Rofkahr, and Slade Sisk.
